What are the benefits of using Vector Magic?

Vector Magic saves you time and frustration, while giving you better results than the alternatives.

• No more tedious hand-tracing. Hand tracing can take hours per image and is a very tedious task. Why not let Vector Magic do the work so you can focus your energy on better things?
• Better accuracy. If you compare results from other tools side-by-side with those from Vector Magic, you will notice that Vector Magic produces vectors that more closely resemble the input image. Finer details in the shapes are recovered, and the curves are more faithful to the bitmap original.
• Less cleanup required. Vector Magic's results have less noise, while still extracting more detail from the bitmap original. Normally you'd have to spend a lot of time cleaning up the output from an auto-tracer - with Vector Magic you can oftentimes use the result right away, and if it requires cleanup then it's usually much less than what's required for the results from the competing tools.

• Easier user interface with less trial-and-error. If you've used other tracing tools, you have probably noticed that they have tons of confusing options and settings, and require you to more or less randomly try different combinations of these in the frustrating search for a passable result.

Will you take a P.O? Can you invoice us?

We can take a P.O. or issue an invoice for Desktop Edition licenses, for a $25 processing charge. Please contact us if you would like to do that.

Do you offer special pricing for Academic or Non-profit users?

We offer special pricing on the Desktop Edition for qualified Academic and Non-profit users. Please sign up using your academic/non-profit email address and then contact us for information on how to qualify for this discount.

What happened to the tokens?

You can still buy tokens in packs of 5 tokens, 10 tokens, and 20 tokens. We noticed that most people chose the subscription or the desktop application instead of the tokens, so to simplify the main user interface, we've moved this option here.

Details

You can upload, vectorize, and preview images without any commitment.

However, you need to either subscribe to Vector Magic Unlimited or exchange 1 token for the vector results for which you wish to enable downloading. Alternatively, you can buy the Desktop Edition and use the software on your own computer.

When signing up you get 2 free tokens.

There is a free version of the PNG (bitmap) result. This version has a small mark in the corner indicating that it was traced with Vector Magic. If you subscribe to Vector Magic Unlimited or exchange a token to download the vector results, a version of the PNG without this mark is made available instead of the free one.

Enabling downloading for an image allows you to download the vectorized result in all provided output formats. You are free to re-vectorize the image until you are satisfied. Your image and associated result will be available for at least 14 days from the time you enable downloading, provided you do not delete them before that.
