Tracing (aka vectorization) is the process of converting a bitmap image (e.g. JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP, TIFF, PSD) to a vector image (e.g. EPS, SVG, PDF, AI, DXF, EMF). Vector images are often used when printing, screen printing, doing embroidery and in many other graphic design applications.
You can read more in-depth about this here:
Vector Magic saves you time and frustration, while giving you better results than the alternatives.
Easier user interface with less trial-and-error. If you've used other tracing tools, you have probably noticed that they have tons of confusing options and settings, and require you to more or less randomly try different combinations of these in the frustrating search for a passable result.
With Vector Magic on the other hand, the conversion options are all automatically selected for you. There's even an "Improve Result" feature to help you tweak the result if you'd like.
You can upload, vectorize, and preview images without any commitment.
However, to download you need to either subscribe to Vector Magic Unlimited (giving you unlimited downloads) or exchange 1 token for the vector results for which you wish to enable downloading. Alternatively, you can buy the Desktop Edition and use the software offline.
When signing up you get 2 free tokens.
Enabling downloading for an image allows you to download the vectorized result in all provided output formats. You are free to re-vectorize the image until you are satisfied. Your image and associated result will be available for at least 14 days from the time you enable downloading, provided you do not delete them before that.
Access is granted immediately when subscribing. A subscription to Vector Magic Unlimited grants 1 user access to the service, from at most 2 computers at a time (e.g. work and home). You can switch the computers used once per day. This is keyed off of your cookie, so it's on a per-browser basis as well.
Subscriptions are not refundable. Full refund policy.
